Like its minivans, Brilliance China Automotive Holdings has a lot of get up and go. Through its principal subsidiary, Shenyang Automotive (51%-owned), the company sells minivans in China. Its best-seller, the mid-priced Minibus, as well as the Deluxe Minibus, have fueled the company's growth. With joint venture partner BMW, the company has introduced Chinese-built 3-series and 5-series BMW sedans. The company has branched out into the auto supplier business with investments in Ningbo Yuming (car window molding and stripping) and Mianyang Xinchen (gasoline engines). Huachen Automotive Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Liaoning Provincial Government, owns about 40% of the company.
