Lumenis sheds new light on skin problems. The company makes medical devices that use intense pulsed light (IPL), lasers, and radiofrequency technology to treat aesthetic problems (lesions, wrinkles, acne, and the like) as well as a wide range of other conditions. The firm's proprietary IPL technology converts the light source into thermal energy. Its Lumenis One System features lasers to remove hair and IPL to rejuvenate skin and remove vascular and pigmented lesions. Other products include ClearLight acne treatment and ActiveFX, used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, and discoloration. Lumenis also offers products for vision correction, dental procedures, and surgeries.
