Sauder Woodworking takes the fear out of furniture and makes furniture for the God-fearing. The company is the top US maker of ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture (ahead of Bush Industries and O'Sullivan Industries) and, through Sauder Manufacturing, is also a top manufacturer of church furniture and institutional seating. The company's RTA products include such items as computer workstations, desks, entertainment centers, and wardrobes. Sauder's products are sold through retailers in more than 70 countries. Sauder acquired Progressive Furniture, which makes fully assembled furniture, in 2001. The company was founded in 1934 by Erie Sauder and is still family owned and operated.
