George Soros makes headlines, but not nearly as well as he makes money. His Soros Fund Management's generally successful funds, including its flagship Quantum Endowment Fund, often invest according to macroeconomic trends. Holdings include Global Ship Lease (around 20%), retail site Bluefly (about 40%), JetBlue (about 8%), and Lattice Semiconductor (5%). Soros Fund Management also had an ill-fated stake in Lehman, acquired just before that investment bank failed in 2008.
