Westell delivers the goods for communication service providers. The company's modems and routers enable high-speed data transmission between the broadband networks of communications service providers and their subscribers over standard phone lines. It also makes line protection and monitoring products, shelving, jacks, and plugs. Subsidiary Conference Plus offers audio-, video-, and web-conferencing services. Westell markets its products in Canada and Europe, but most of its sales are made in the US. The company sells its DSL equipment directly to telecom carriers and ISPs and through distributors. AT&T and Verizon together accounted for about half of Westell's revenue in fiscal 2009.
