Aptly named, Apco Argentina exploits oil and gas resources in Argentina. Deregulation gave Apco Argentina's joint venture with Petrobras Energia and Petrolera Entre Lomas the right to pump oil from the Entre Lomas concession in southwestern Argentina until 2026. The exploration and production company (69%-owned by US powerhouse The Williams Companies) holds a 53% stake in the Entre Lomas joint venture. In 2007 Apco Argentina, which also holds interests in other oil and gas concessions in Argentina, reported consolidated proved reserves of 11 million barrels of oil and 24.1 billion cu. ft. of gas.
