Gamblers looking beyond casino games can climb the summit of MTR Gaming Group. MTR's Mountaineer Racetrack and Gaming Resort in West Virginia includes horse racing and wagering, in addition to some 3,200 slot machines. The complex boasts a convention center and a 360-room hotel that offers amenities such as restaurants, a spa and salon, a retail plaza, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. MTR also owns Scioto Downs in Ohio; 90% of Jackson Harness Raceway in Michigan; and the Presque Isle Downs race track in Pennsylvania, which opened in 2007. In addition, it operates the Ramada Inn and Speedway Casino in North Las Vegas.
