Nobel Learning Communities has its eyes on the prize. One of the largest for-profit school management operators in the US, Nobel provides private education at about 180 facilities in more than a dozen states. Most are preschools, elementary, and middle schools, although the company also operates special-purpose high schools, charter schools, corporate-sponsored child care centers, and programs for the learning-challenged. The company operates its facilities under names that include Chesterbrook Academy, Merryhill School, Paladin Academy (learning-challenged), and Houston Learning Academy (special high schools). Many Nobel schools offer before- and after-school care and summer camps.
