New York's Catholic Healthcare System is dedicated to providing health care (rooted in the values of the Catholic Church) to people who need it, regardless of their religious affiliation or ability to pay. The Catholic Healthcare System includes seven large nursing care facilities and Calvary Hospital, which specializes in palliative cancer care. It also has affiliations with rehabilitation facilities and other medical centers (including non-Catholic institutions). Among its nursing facilities are Ferncliff Nursing Home, Kateri Residence, and St. Teresa's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The Catholic Healthcare System is sponsored by the Archdiocese of New York.
