STS Consultants offers site planning, facilities support, and design/build advice to clients in the commercial, energy, government, industrial, and transportation industries. The firm offers a wide range of services, including civil and geotechnical engineering, environmental restoration, seismic analysis, and solid waste and wastewater management. It serves both public and private sector clients, including cities and municipalities in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, as well as federal agencies such as the US Army Corps of Engineers. John Gnaedinger and Ted Van Zelst founded the company in 1948. Formerly employee-owned, STS was acquired by AECOM in April 2007.
