American Rice, Inc. (ARI) knows a thing or two about its namesake foodstuff. Formed in 1969 as a marketing cooperative, American Rice is one of the largest rice millers in the US. Its US brands include Comet, Adolphus, and Blue Ribbon. Its customers are food retailers and foodservice providers. Outside the US, it sells such brands as Abu Bint, Golden Chopstick, and Golden Sail. In addition to in the US, ARI sells rice in more than other 50 countries and regions, including Saudi Arabia, Haiti, Mexico, the Caribbean, and EU member countries. ARI is part of the Spanish food company, Grupo SOS.
