Croscill has made its bed in the textile industry. The firm makes coordinated home furnishings, including linens for bedrooms, bathrooms, and windows. It also makes pillows, pet beds, table lamps, and accent furniture. Croscill's products are sold by major retailers, such as JC Penney and Bed Bath & Beyond, throughout North America, and by mail order in Australia, Canada, Japan, the UK, and the US. Croscill claims credit for producing the first decorative comforter and originating the concept of coordinated merchandise. Founded in 1946 by George Kahn, the Kahn family sold Croscill to private equity firm Patriarch Partners in 2008.
