ITT doesn't get defensive when you associate its name with fluid motion. The company has three primary segments: defense electronics (combat radios, night vision devices, airborne electronic warfare systems), fluid technology (pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, and valves for water and wastewater systems), and motion and flow control (connectors, boat pumps, shock absorbers, friction pads for communication and transportation applications). ITT, which traces its corporate roots back nearly 90 years to the old ITT phone empire, also provides repair and maintenance services for the products it manufactures. The company makes about two-thirds of its sales in the US.
