Atlas carried the weight of the world, and Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings carries the freight of the world. Subsidiaries Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo provide scheduled international freight services, mainly from the Asia/Pacific region, for leading freight forwarders, including DHL and Expeditors International. In addition, Atlas and Polar provide chartered freight services to commercial clients and the US military. Combined, the carriers maintain a fleet of about 30 Boeing 747 freighters. Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings also leases cargo planes to customers, mainly airlines, under aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) contracts. Its top ACMI client, Emirates, accounts for about 8% of overall sales.
