Quiznos, you might say, is the toast of the sandwich world. The Quiznos Master operates the #2 sub sandwich chain (behind Subway), with more than 5,000 franchised quick-service restaurants popular for their made-to-order, oven-toasted sandwiches. Patrons can choose from a variety of signature subs, such as the Honey Bourbon Chicken, Prime Rib Cheesesteak, and The 5 Meat Stack. Quiznos also serves salads, soups, and dessert items. The company has locations in more than 30 countries. Quiznos started getting toasty in 1981 as a single Denver area restaurant. Founder Rick Schaden and his family control the company with backing from investment firms JPMorgan Partners (part of JPMorgan Chase) and Cervantes Capital.
