Quiznos wants to be the toast of the sandwich world. The Quiznos Master operates the #2 sub sandwich chain (behind Subway). Quiznos quick-service restaurants are popular for their made-to-order, oven-toasted sandwiches. Patrons can choose from a variety of signature or custom-made subs, wraps, salads, sub sliders, and flatbreads. The company has locations in all 50 states and more than 25 countries. Quiznos started getting toasty in 1981 as a single Denver area restaurant. Avenue Capital Group became majority owners in early 2012 after a debt-for-equity deal.
