With more than a billion components in stock, Taitron Components is a superstore for a small subset of the electronic component market: discrete semiconductors. Taitron also distributes optoelectronic devices and passive components, such as capacitors and resistors. Discrete semiconductors are the forefathers of complex integrated circuits and are used in most consumer, industrial, and military electronic devices, from appliances to airplanes. Taitron distributes more than 14,000 different products from about 100 suppliers, including Everlight Electronics, Fairchild Semiconductor, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Vishay. The company gets nearly two-thirds of its sales in the US.
