Caremark Pharmacy Services cares about keeping medicine affordable. The prescription benefits management (PBM) division of CVS Caremark, Caremark Pharmacy Services designs and administers the drug coverage programs of thousands of corporate, managed care, government, and union health plans across the US. Its benefit programs provide access to a national network of some 60,000 contracted retail, mail-order, and specialty pharmacies where health plan members purchase prescriptions, often at discounts that Caremark negotiates with drugmakers. Caremark Pharmacy Services also provides cost control, patient education, and disease management programs for its managed plans.
