Some world travelers prefer seeing the sights, but as DFS Group knows, some prefer to shop their way around the globe. The world's largest luxury travel retailer, DFS (Duty Free Shoppers) runs some 150 stores in 14 countrires, located primarily in the Asia/Pacific region. The firm has set its sights on the Middle East and China for growth. DFS stores offer luxury brands of cosmetics and perfume, jewelry, liquor, tobacco, apparel, and other pricey goods. While famous for its airport stores, DFS also runs about a dozen Galleria centers in downtowns and upscale resorts and operates Miami Cruiseline Services, a shipboard duty-free retailer. DFS is owned by French conglomerate LVMH and its co-founder Robert Miller.
