Many consider Carsey-Werner to be the king of TV comedy. During its highpoint, the television production and distribution company was responsible for creating several hit TV shows, including The Cosby Show, 3rd Rock From the Sun, and Roseanne, as well as A Different World, Grace Under Fire, and Cybil. No longer active in TV production, Carsey-Werner continues to distribute shows for syndication in more than 175 countries and in 50 languages. Its films division continues to develop a small number of projects, as well. Partners Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner founded the studio in 1981.
