GE Security, a part of General Electric's Enterprise Solutions, also distributes products for access and building control, video surveillance, explosive and drug detection, key management, and structured wiring. In addition to targeting residential and consumer clients, GE Security provides security services for commercial markets, and the government and military. GE Security has operations in more than 30 countries. United Technologies Corporation (UTC) has announced plans to purchase GE Security from GE.
