From airbags to jeans, International Textile Group (ITG) is a totally material diva. ITG makes airbag fabrics, apparel, military uniforms, and specialty textiles worldwide. It operates through an Automotive Safety and an Apparel & Specialty Fabrics division, comprising Cone Denim (denim for Levi Strauss 501 jeans, wool-worsted and synthetic fabrics) and Burlington WorldWide (apparel fabrics). Minor divisions are Burlington House interior fabrics and Carlisle Finishing (jacquard fabrics and commission finishing). Formerly Safety Components International, the company merged with International Textile Group, a concern that financier Wilbur L. Ross, Jr. had created by combining Cone Mills and Burlington Industries.
