Refac Optical Group keeps its eye on the business of vision care. The company manages about 520 U.S. Vision and OptiCare retail optical stores in the US and Canada. Shops carry designer and private-label frames, sunglasses, contact lenses, and accessories, as well as offer optometric services. Brands have included Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein, Revlon, and Vera Wang. In addition to its retail operations, Refac operates two surgical centers and two manufacturing laboratories. The company was founded in 1952. Palisade Concentrated Equity Partnership, the former parent of U.S. Vision and OptiCare Health Systems, controls about 90% of the group.
