They started it! HP Enterprise Services, formerly Electronic Data Systems (EDS), pioneered the computer outsourcing business. The company delivers such services as cloud computing, systems integration, network and systems operations, data center management, applications development, and outsourcing. It is one of the largest federal government contractors, but it also serves commercial customers in a wide range of industries, including energy, entertainment, health care, manufacturing, and transportation. Top clients have included the US Navy and former parent General Motors. HP Enterprise Services is a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard and operates as part of the HP Enterprise Business segment.
