Japan Airlines brings the world to the Land of the Rising Sun and takes Japan to the world. Its main operating unit, Japan Airlines International, serves more than 210 airports in some 35 countries (including some served by partners). Its fleet of over 270 aircraft consists mainly of Boeing jets. The carrier is part of the Oneworld global marketing alliance, which counts among its members such industry leaders as AMR's American Airlines and British Airways. Besides its scheduled passenger services, Japan Airlines carries air cargo and provides maintenance and ground-support services for airlines. The company also markets travel packages, offers credit card services, and operates the Nikko hotel chain.
