Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. Company Profile
Japan Airlines brings the world to the Land of the Rising Sun and takes Japan to the world. It operates via a group of businesses, with its largest interest being airline-related services, known as JAL. JAL is part of the Oneworld global marketing alliance, which counts among its members AMR's American Airlines and British Airways. Carrying some 39 million passengers in 2013, JAL serves airports in about 45 countries, including some served by partners. Its fleet consists mainly of Boeing jets. Besides its scheduled passenger services, JAL carries air cargo and provides maintenance and ground-support services for airlines. JAL Express, which began in 1998 as a low-cost carrier, was folded into JAL in late 2014.
