Bridgestone is one rolling stone that gathers no moss. Vying with Michelin to be the world's largest tire maker, Bridgestone helps vehicles traverse almost any type of terrain. The company supplies tires to most major car manufacturers; it also makes tires for the construction, highway, mining, and aviation industries. Non-tire products include building materials (water tank panels), sporting goods (golf balls), and chemical and industrial products (conveyor belts). Tires account for about 80% of Bridgestone's revenues, with about three-quarters of its sales made overseas. It has a global production and sales network that focuses on supplying local markets in more than 150 countries worldwide.
