Germany's air ambassador Deutsche Lufthansa rivals the world's largest airlines. Operating through some 400 subsidiaries and affiliated companies, the global aviation group runs Europe's largest passenger airline. It operates a fleet of more than 700 aircraft flying passengers to some 280 destinations in more than 100 countries worldwide, not counting those served by code-sharing. Its logistics segment is also a market leader in international airfreight transportation through Lufthansa Cargo. The group's other main business segments deal in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services through Lufthansa Technik; airline catering services through LSG Sky Chefs; and IT services through Lufthansa Systems.
