Airline group SAS carries passengers throughout Scandinavia -- and well beyond. Most of the company's sales come from its Scandinavian Airlines operations, which include units that operate in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, as well as Scandinavian Airlines International, which serves destinations in Europe, North America, and Asia. SAS extends its reach as a member of the global Star Alliance, a marketing and code-sharing partnership led by Lufthansa and United Airlines. (Code-sharing allows carriers to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus offer potential passengers more destinations.) Other sources of revenue include airline support businesses and stakes in other airlines.
