Lagardère is shedding its missiles in favor of media. The company, whose primary holdings include media firm Lagardère Active (publisher of ELLE and Premier, and partial owner of French TV holding company Canal Plus France), has reduced its minority stake in #3 aerospace firm European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) to about 12%. The company's other holdings include Lagardère Publishing (Hachette Livre book publishing, including subsidiary Hachette Book Group USA); Lagardère Services (press distribution and retail sales); and Lagardère Sports (sports broadcast rights marketing and management).
