Power dynamo Dynegy (short for "dynamic energy") provides wholesale power, capacity, and ancillary services to a broad range of customers (utilities, cooperatives, municipalities and other energy operations) in 13 states, in the Midwest, the Northeast, and on the West Coast. The company's power generation portfolio consists of about 30 power plants fueled by coal, fuel oil, and natural gas, and have a generation capacity of more than 13,000 MW. Originally a natural gas trader, the company has refocused in recent years on the wholesale electricity market.
