It doesn't matter if Henny Penny is having hot flashes, Foster Poultry Farms never uses hormones (nor does it inject salt water into its birds to plump them up). The company is one of the leading poultry processors in the US with vertically integrated operations, taking chickens and turkeys from the incubator to grocers' meat cases, delis, and freezers. It sells poultry products mostly under the Foster Farms brand. In addition to the retail market, Foster Poultry Farms supplies customers in the foodservice industry, including restaurant and other hospitality operators. The family-owned company was started in 1939 by Max and Verda Foster. The Fosters also own and operate sister company Foster Dairy Farms.
