A-Power Energy Generation Systems is A-OK with alternative energy. The company designs and builds distributed generation (DG) systems and micro-grid power networks, which supply power and heat locally to factories or rural towns. A-Power operates in China under two subsidiaries, GaoKe Energy and GaoKe Design. A-Power also builds wind turbines that produce 1.5 MW, 2.5 MW, 750 kW, or 225 kW of power. Each system takes up to two years to complete, and the company has more than 20 systems to its name. Customers come from the steel, chemical, ethanol, cement, and food industries.
