Seeking to hear the "Ka-ching" of increased profits, Kadant makes recycling equipment that turns wastepaper into white and brown grades of recycled paper. The company's main products are stock preparation equipment, including pulping and trash removal systems; cleaning, screening, and de-inking systems; accessories to clean the rolls of paper-making equipment and to cut and remove sheets of paper; and equipment that recycles water from pulp slurry and processes reusable fiber. Kadant was spun off from Thermo Electron (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) in 2001. The company gets more than half of its sales outside the US.
