Conso International is a leading fringe company when it comes to window decorations. The world's #1 maker of decorative trim for crafts and home furnishings, Conso's trimming products include fringe, cords, tassels, and knitted and woven braid for edging upholstery (called gimp). Additionally, the company makes decorative window hardware items and resin products. Conso, which sells its products to manufacturers, distributors, and retail outlets, maintains sales offices and showrooms in Miami, New York, and High Point, North Carolina. Citicorp Venture Capital and company management acquired Conso and took it private in 2000. Conso was acquired by Wm. Wright Co. in 2006.
