Its residential business (which accounts for about half of annual sales) markets primarily broadband Internet access and has more than 500,000 DSL subscribers. Versatel offers business customers voice, broadband, and VPN (virtual private network) products and support. Versatel also provides other network operators and Internet access providers with network capacity on a wholesale basis. The company has branches in 12 of the 16 German states and nearly two-thirds of Germany's largest cities.
