When it comes to digital entertainment, Synacor is at your service. It builds the private label portals customers see when they log onto their telecom provider's website, and makes money by selling ads on these sites. Synacor was founded in 2001 through the merger of Chek.com (Web-based email provider) and MyPersonal.com. It went public in 2011.
