The routes traveled by Marcopolo's buses may not be as notable as the Silk Road, but what they lack in grandeur they make up for in variety. About 75% of the company's commercial vehicle bodies and chassis are sold in Brazil, the remaining are sold in more than 60 countries. Products include city and long-distance buses, shuttle buses, and vans. Its vehicles are sold under such brands as Marcopolo, Ciferal, Moneo, Fundação Marcopolo, and Volare. The company produces vehicles (about 35,000 each year) domestically and abroad through manufacturing subsidiaries in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal, and South Africa. Marcopolo also makes auto parts and accessories and provides repair services for its products.
