Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura (PINFRA) pins its business on infrastructure development across Latin America. The Mexico-based firm finances, constructs, and operates various heavy, industrial, and urban construction projects. PINFRA's concessions unit is responsible for building ports, parking lots, highways, and sewage and waste management systems mostly in Mexico and Ecuador. Its manufacturing division produces concrete products and aggregates used for its projects. PINFRA is the successor of the long-standing infrastructure development firm Grupo Tribasa, which filed for bankruptcy in 2001. Tribasa restructured itself and reemerged as PINFRA in 2005.
