The subsidiary of Siemens Healthcare offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic products from molecular imaging tests to in vitro (laboratory) diagnostics and analysis instruments. Siemens formed the unit by combining acquired firms Bayer HealthCare Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products Corporation. Siemens Diagnostics' lead products include RapidLab blood gas analyzers, ADVIA hematology systems, molecular tests for infectious diseases, and IMMULITE immunoassay systems. Its products are sold globally through direct sales forces and through distribution agreements. Siemens Diagnostics also provides information technology and consulting services.
