Hi-Tech Pharmacal combines imitation with innovation, making and distributing dozens of liquid and semi-solid prescription, over-the-counter, and nutritional products. The company primarily produces generic forms of prescription drugs, including off-brand versions of antibiotic Bactrim (made by Roche) and antihistamine Phenergan (a Pfizer drug, formerly of Wyeth), as well as prescription skin creams, mouthwashes, and pediatric multivitamins. Hi-Tech also makes branded over-the-counter products, including a line of products for diabetes patients and the Zostrix line of pain and arthritis medications. It has one branded prescription product, allergy medication Tanafed DMX.
