When it came to denim, Cone Denim wore the pants. Cone Denim was a leading maker of denim fabric in North America. Levi Strauss & Co., its largest customer, made its 501 jeans solely from Cone Denim's proprietary fabric. Cone Denim operates in India, Turkey, and the US, and has a joint venture in Mexico to produce denims. Cone Denim's parent, International Textile Group (ITG) combined the Burlington WorldWide and Cone Denim divisions into one unit, the cotton products group, henceforward known as ITG Apparel & Specialty Fabrics.
