AOL is one of the world's leading online content providers, serving more than 100 million users with a vast portal of news, sports, and information. Its advertising-supported content also includes games, music, and video, as well as e-mail, instant messaging, and other interactive services. AOL also sells and distributes online advertising through such subsidiaries as Advertising.com and search marketing firm Quigo Technologies. In addition, the company still offers online access services to more than 8.5 million subscribers. AOL is a subsidiary of media behemoth Time Warner.
