Its services cover exploration, development, and production of offshore oil and natural gas operations. Its four business segments are drilling services, well services, shipping, and geophysical services. The company owns 15 drilling rigs and a fleet of 95 marine support vessels that includes oil tankers, seismic vessels, geotech survey vessels, and equipment for logging, drilling fluids, directional drilling, cementing, well completion, and well work-over services. CNOOC is a key client of the company. China Oilfield Services is 54.7% owned by state-controlled China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
