Far EasTone Telecommunications knows wireless communications no longer means keeping an ear to the ground. It offers traditional wireless phone services accessed using a SIM card -- a plastic card embedded with a chip that is inserted into a handset. It offers both post-paid (E-Tone) and pre-paid (IF Card) services to customers in Taiwan. Far EasTone, which also provides Internet services through FETnet.net, is combining its the two to offer mobile content including entertainment, financial, messaging, and information services.
