Through its Liquidnet H20 platform, the company has created an electronic marketplace for institutional trading that brings buyers and sellers together and lets them anonymously negotiate trades without intermediaries or information leaks. Subsidiary Miletus Trading provides analytics and other services to institutional investors. Liquidnet's global membership community of institutional firms today represents some $16 trillion in equity assets under management. The company operates mostly in the US as well as in Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Liquidnet filed to go public in 2008.
