Live Current Media (formerly Communicate.com) hopes to translate straightforward Web domain names into money. The company owns, develops, markets, and sells more than hundreds of Web domain names through its subject-specific DestinationHubs products and services. It partners with retailers and gets a share of e-commerce proceeds from company-owned domains such as cologne.com, perfume.com, and wrestling.com. It also generates advertising revenue via referrals from its Web sites. Striving to brand itself as a new media company, Communicate.com changed its name to Live Current Media in mid-2008.
