Amphenol knows it's all about connections. The company makes cable and connectors for the communications, industrial, medical, and military markets. Amphenol's interconnect products, which account for about 90% of sales, are used in computers, wired and wireless communications and networking equipment, medical instruments, office equipment, aircraft and spacecraft, and energy applications. Its Times Fiber subsidiary is a leading maker of coaxial cable for the cable TV industry and flat-ribbon cable for computer and telecommunications products. Amphenol ships products to more than 10,000 customer locations around the world, and it has a diverse customer base. Nearly two-thirds of sales are outside of the US.
