Maxim's maxim? Invent! Maxim Integrated Products makes more than 6,000 kinds of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs); more than 80% were invented by the company. Maxim's chips -- which include amplifiers, data converters, tranceivers, and switching ICs -- translate physical data such as temperature, pressure, and sound into digital signals for electronic processing. The company's ICs are used by thousands of electronics manufacturers in products including computers and peripherals, appliances, telecommunications and networking gear, automobiles, medical devices, instruments, and utility meters. Maxim has manufacturing facilities in the Philippines, Thailand, and the US.
