It might be associated with print journalism, but the AP has been bringing news to radio and television for a long time. AP Broadcast is the TV and radio services arm of the Associated Press. The unit provides news feeds and other content, as well as production and delivery services to about 4,500 radio and television stations. Its broadcast new production software (ENPS) is used by more than 3,300 TV and radio stations in 50 countries. AP Broadcast also provides content and media services to more than 1,000 Web site operators. Founded in 1848, the AP has been involved in broadcast journalism since the dawn of radio.
