Genzyme Genetics doesn't get test anxiety. A business unit of Genzyme, it provides diagnostic testing, specifically reproductive and oncology tests. It is a market leader in testing for breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The labs also specialize in testing for cystic fibrosis carriers and cancers that may be difficult to diagnose. Genzyme Genetics also provides prenatal genetic counseling services, and has more than 140 genetic counselors on staff who assess a patient's prenatal genetic risks and interpret results for patients and doctors. The unit operates eight laboratories in the US.
