A unit of UK banking powerhouse Abbey, Abbey National International (which does business as Abbey International) serves British expatriates with offshore banking services via telephone and the Internet. Offerings include standard deposit accounts, as well as tax-beneficial interest-bearing products denominated in British sterling, US dollars, and euros. Abbey International's services do not include tax planning and investments. Abbey International's parent bank is controlled by Spanish bank Santander. All of Santander's UK divisions are being rebranded by 2010.
